Amish Romance!
It can’t be true, but calendars don’t lie. Tessa Speicher is in trouble—deep trouble. If she can only get to Tom, he’ll help her. But he refuses to help. Worse, he flat-out rejects her, saying he’ll deny everything she claims is true. Her heart is broken. When she and her mother relocate to Hollybrook, Tessa can’t continue to ignore the gaping emptiness in her soul. Not even the interest of a young Amish farmer can touch her damaged heart. So Tessa comes up with her own plan. Something that will irrevocably change everything…

Despite the danger, unwed Amish mother Tessa Speicher has taken her baby back. Tessa is tired of lies. Tired of deception. But her mother refuses to destroy their chance for a new life. So, the sham continues. Tessa’s affection for Levi Riehl grows into something unexpected, and she struggles to stifle their growing love, but Levi isn’t so easily deterred. But how can Tessa hold any hope for a relationship when she can’t reveal the truth? And even worse, how can she hold any hope for peace or a normal life when she can’t forgive herself?

Tessa can’t keep the deception going—it isn’t fair to Levi. She prays fervently that he will accept the truth and not reject her. But once Levi learns the reality about Tessa’s baby, he disappears. Struggling to live without him, Tessa does her best to make a good life for her daughter. Tessa is completely blindsided when her past walks through her shop door. What can Tom Miller possibly want? Why would her baby’s father show up at this late date? What he proposes sends her reeling. Now, she is trapped. Levi is gone; Tom has resurfaced. Tessa is caught in a no-win situation.

Hi, I'm Brenda! My passion is writing! What could be more delicious than inventing new characters and seeing where they take you? I am blessed to live in Indiana, a state I share with many Amish communities. (I find the best spices, hot cereal, and good cooking advice at an Amish store not too far away.) I've lived in Honduras, Grand Cayman, and Costa Rica. One of my favorite activities is exploring other cultures. My husband, Paul, and I have two grown children and five precious grandchildren, three, special delivery from Africa and two, homegrown. I love to hole up in our lake cabin and write -- often with a batch of popcorn nearby. (Oh, and did I mention dark chocolate?) I can often be found walking the beaches of Costa Rica.
